Flights of Fancy
L’Oiseau Bateau Dolls

Bye-bye, binky. Sayonara, blankie.
Now they’ve reached the age of magic and wonder, indulge them with a handmade L’Oiseau Bateau fairy doll.
Designed and fashioned in the South of France using only cotton and imagination, these one-of-a-kind Gallic sprites have lithe limbs for dancing, prancing, and mischief making.
They wear pigment-dyed threads and pointed hats. Pink tutus are optional, as are colorful high waters and striped tights. Gossamer wings ensure a graceful exit when it’s no longer cool to tote a lovey to school.
For now, say hello, dolly.
Available at Péché Mignon, 147 Clement Street, between 2nd and 3rd Avenues (415-221-6000 or pechemignon.com). ![]()
