Ventura Road Trip

Whale of a Time
A boat ride to Channel Islands National Park is a must. Catch the gray whale migration (season starts late December). Tiny sea legs shaky? Take a spin (or two) on the carousel in Ventura Harbor Village (1583 Spinnaker Drive; 805-642-8538).

Just steer clear of the tacky souvenirs.
