Treat him to a healthy snack with this recipe from chef and mom Jill Houk of Centered Chef.
Spiced Popcorn Trail Mix
Serves Four
Ingredients
2 tbsp. canola oil
1/3 c. popcorn kernels
2 tbsp. white sugar
¼ tsp. salt
½ tsp. ground cinnamon
½ c. coconut flakes
½ c. dried apricots, cut into ¼-inch pieces
1. Pop the popcorn on the stove top, heating the oil and kernels in a large, heavy pot.
2. Pour the hot popped popcorn into a bowl or paper bag. Sprinkle with sugar and toss to coat.
3. Add the remaining ingredients, shake, and serve.
They’re sure to munch a bunch.
