You’ve been so busy teaching her to walk and talk and read that it never entered your mind to show her how to breathe.
Never mind. Sounds like it’s better left to someone else anyway.
Jennifer Lawson, a pediatric occupational therapist and yoga instructor, is the mastermind behind a new breed of kids’ yoga classes (for ages 6-12) that can show her the way.
Classes combine Eastern yoga practices (to improve posture, coordination, and awareness) with Western philosophies (teaching communication and cooperation). Little yogis also learn breathing techniques that promote healthy digestion, wellness, and even sleep regulation.
So you’ll have a little breathing room of your own.
